Aesthetics of the Neck

Before surgery;

Operation
The surgery can be performed with what we call local anesthesia (regional anesthesia) or general anesthesia. The operating time is approximately 2 hours. The hospitalization is usually 1 night. The neck lift surgery is performed using the incision that starts in front of the ear and continues along the hairline behind the ear.
Or, in the case of failure limited to the midline, it can be done with a small incision under the chin. The tip of the neck-chin harmony can be performed simultaneously with the implantation of the tip of the chin or shaping of the bone tissue, as well as lifting the neck. In incisions made from the front of the ear to the hairline and / or under the chin, a vague scar remains, which heals well under normal conditions.
Postoperative
It is usually comfortable after the operation. Antibiotic ointments suitable for the incision area, dressing and antibiotic and pain relieving tablets are used. The face can be washed on the 2nd day. Lying in a sitting position with the head held high accelerates the regression of the edema.
Special corsets (appliances) that provide good and tight healing of the skin of the neck after surgery should be used for 10-15 days.
Things to know
It is normal to have swelling and minor bruises on the face for about two weeks. After two weeks, if they have not dissolved, the remaining stitches are removed. The result of a successful neck lift surgery is extremely satisfying for the patients and the results of the surgery are permanent.
