Case snapshot

This case follows a 63-year-old patient through deep plane lower-face and neck rejuvenation with a chin implant and perioral refinement. The strategy addressed the relationship between chin projection, jawline definition, lower-face contour and neck profile. The two-month follow-up remains an early result.

Patient concerns

The concerns were lower-face and neck laxity, reduced jawline definition, limited chin projection affecting lower-face balance, downturned mouth corners and loss of a defined transition between chin, jawline and neck.

Clinical assessment

Deep plane lower-face and neck lifting was selected to reposition descended tissues and improve the jawline-neck transition. A chin implant supported projection and lower-face proportion. Jawline definition and a corner-of-mouth lift addressed the mandibular contour and perioral component as part of a coordinated lower-third plan.

Surgical approach

  • Deep Plane Lower Face & Neck Lift
  • Chin Implant
  • Jawline Definition
  • Corner of Mouth Lift

Surgeon's note

Dr. Umut Zereyak's planning note emphasizes that tissue laxity was only one influence on the lower-face appearance. Chin projection, jawline definition, neck contour and the perioral region all contributed to balance. Deep plane lifting provided structural support, the implant addressed chin projection, and corner-of-mouth lifting refined the perioral component.

Two-month early follow-up

The assessment considered chin projection, jawline definition, lower-face contour, neck profile and perioral balance, with preservation of facial identity. Further swelling resolution, implant-related tissue settling, soft-tissue maturation and scar maturation are expected. The appearance and scar quality are not presented as final.
